Taco Bell Live Más Live
Broadcasting from the iconic Hollywood Palladium, this event unveils Taco Bell’s most anticipated 2026 menu drops with blockbuster flair; surprise celebrity appearances, immersive performances, outrageous set pieces and unforgettable reveals; it’s equal parts product reveal, concert, and cultural happening.
I was tasked with developing a visual language for the event’s key art. The event brief called for a comedy roast style experience that featured a slew of comedic personalities, which brought my mind to the playful, personality-driven design vernacular of stand-up and alt comedy gig posters and the retro energy of psychedelic artwork. Additionally, Taco Bell had recently worked with artist Julia Schimautz to create a series of Mexican-inspired patterns that I wanted to incorporate into the visual language in a way that didn’t feel straight forward.
With those elements in mind, I created a visual identity that centers on a scanned, cut and paste style monochrome portraits of each featured celebrity, framed by layered, organic contour shapes that act like graphic halos that reverberate the big comedic energy of each personality. These framed halos allow Julia’s art to shine through, while creating a strong focal hierarchy that echoes the energy of retro psychedelic poster design. The goal was to create key art that feels energetic, irreverent, and culture-driven, prioritizing personality and visual impact over strict grid formality.
The artwork was used throughout the Live Más Live event at the Palladium in Los Angeles, as well as for key art on Peacock’s streaming platform and for a variety of social and digital assets.
